Brilliant course............tough as fuck but plenty of birdies to be had if you play well.

Loving it,great to see a sport where the players are not snarling and trying to con,and thousands of fans enjoying the occasion without feeling the need to hurl insults or abuse, yep i miss the footy but can live without it for a few days.

Those greens are gonna be unplayable by Sunday.

McIlroy to come good.

Not a bad start at all finishing plus two after round 1..........Donald,Westwood and a good few others would have liked that Grin

McIlroy to come good.

In the lead on his own now and looking good at this early stage. If he can hole a few more of those 8-10 footers he's got every chance.

I reckon he won't blow it again next time he's bossing it. Got that out the way now.

He swings it better than any cunt I've ever seen, tee to green he's so so good he can get away with his putting.

C'mon Rors.

Not a massive golf fan tbh but he seems a really likable lad tbh. Hope the last time he bottled it in massive fashion doesn't come back to haunt him.

Generally this is the best major of the lot IMO, the other 3 have generally turned into target golf.  You play well here you get rewarded, you play a bad shot you get punished.  Golf how it should be.

Had a cheeky e/w on Kuchar & Baddeley, both had a sloid start.

David Howell 7 over par, needs a good round today to survive the cut.
