Kayden Jackson - looks like he's on the way to Ipswich. Didn't get much of a look-in at the start with us, but has certainly worked hard to get where he now is.....

I didn't realise that he was one of our pro contract thingy winners, looking at this he seems a case in point of a fairly unremarkable career until he found the right club, good luck to him, dunno whay Accy paid for him but seems good business for them if £1.2 being banded about, although scary that is the going rate for a striker off the back of 1 half decent season, he got 16 in 49 games, Richards got 11 in 20 games for us!!

I am surprised you didn't realise that was the same Kayden Jackson TBH.

TBF of all the strikers we have come up against this season only 3 have impressed me and thats Hylton of Luton, Akinfenwa of Wycombe (despite his lack of pace he run us ragged), and ex Town player Kayden Jackson at Accrington, the rest have looked fairly average against our poor defence.
He (Kayden Jackson) looks twice the player he was when he was with us, has found pace and control and added finishing to his armoury, could be one player we missed out on and let go too soon.

Mo Eisa was transfered from Cheltnumb to Shitty on the back of one good season for £1.25m last week, 23 goals in 45 games.

Teams are willing to pay a lot of money for goalscorers no matter which division they come from.

Last season Omar Bogle was transfered from Grimsby to Wigan for £1m for having 1 and a half good seasons, scoring 32 in 68 games in L2.

It seems that £1m or so is a sum that many Championship sides can afford to gamble on players from lower leagues becoming goalscorers in higher divisions.

It was mentioned a bit when he scored against us last year.

Good luck to him, dropped to non-league, didn't give up and looks close to playing in the Championship.

I get what you are saying Venks, still surprises me even if you are right!

Until the comments on here and I wiki'ed him I do not recall the names of any of the pro contract winners.

Crappy loan players/crappy competition punts, they are all the same to me.

He is the only one I remember, wasn't there 2 or 3 winner? one was a right back IIRC? I have no idea what his name is though.

Wasn't one of them a striker rather in the Peter Crouch mould?

I think the right-back played a game under PDC. A ginger lad, if my memory serves me right.
