If anyone fancies something different for a weekend, I can (as I have before) highly recommend a Joy Swift Murder Mystery Weekend. Just been too our third and fucking loved it. Such great fun, brilliant way to spend the weekend. www.murder.co.uk

Walked the 87 miles of the Ridgeway last week from Ivinghoe beacon to Overton hill in under 6 days. Wild camped out in woods every night. Bit late to this distance walking malarkey but chuffed with that.

Quality. I cycled most of it once, over 2 days. Really want to have another crack at it and go all the way to Overton. Good effort.

Never too late. The Ridgeway is a bit of a mixed bag for me, I like it because it's local and easy, but I don't like it when it's really busy with 4x4's and trail bikes etc. The aforementioned vehicles really fuck the surface up which makes walking more difficult.

Got a free maccy d's for the family yesterday. Went through drive through and the card machine packed up. Was waiting for a good 5 minutes whilst they tried to fix it. In the end they just told me to go get my food. Happy days

Result. I've only ever done bits, but if you're feeling adventurous The Wessex Ridgeway... as it were going the other direction from Overton, could be a good one. http://www.britishwalks.org/walks/Named/WessexRidgeway.php

Wasn't sure whether this should go in the "What's wrong with football" thread (because of the way it was done) or the "What's right with football" (because of who it was done to) so decided in the end, it was quite trivial and it did make me smile. Sven G-E sacked by poem on Chinese club website. Which is a new one. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/jun/14/sven-goran-eriksson-sacked-china-poem-shenzhen

Snaffling a decent chunk of BBQ'd fillet steak from my wife's plate when she declared she'd had enough tonight. For the few not the many, peasants.

Oxford missing out on being bought out by a billionaire, and now it appears they're losing their manager.
