FFS....A Rookie? We have enough of those already..

Can't see that making any difference to this season at all. Hope I eat my words.

Not surprised though....we will get enough in to stay in the league...that seems to be the ambition from up top.
Did you think that our great leader was going to fund a squad?
Loans will go at the end of the season, so there's little or no wage bill, when no games are being played.
Cost down profit up, the club is stuck where we are.

Is he the one that blasted it against the keeper, blasted it against the post/crossbar and comedy dived in the penalty area?

And scored no? Or is that not important?

When the other striker blasted it at his head - Yes  Yes

I'm not expecting miracles. If he signs and scores one in every 3 chances he gets he'll be awesome.

I think that's a bit of a disservice he manages to direct it. Not aimed at you but it just felt typical of everything at the moment with people focusing on the negatives rather than a positive.

Mr Wills has other goals on his Twitter feed.

like I said, punt signing. Some take to senior football straight away, others take a while to adjust. We'll have to wait and see.

Can’t believe the people moaning about the House signing, as if we are in a position financially to sign some proven striker, some people really need to get real!

As for Carroll, Yeah he’s pretty versatile. Will do a decent job in L2. He can play right back or centre mid. Good work rate but not exactly cultured! From an Ox supporter. Chalkies will be delighted!!

I never expected to sign an experienced league striker.

Just thought we'd be down into non league looking at people with some sort of experience of men's football.

That said, is there much point. The season is pretty much over. May as well  patch up and look for more permanent solutions for next season

That said, the linked players goes against what Wellens said he wanted. So far. Though Carroll has played a bit for the piss stains .

So which of our present loanees is returning to their club to make way for this one?

This is really pissing in the wind territory. Recruiting the exact opposite of what Wellens says we need.

The downward spiral continues.

You missed out you-know-who.  I'm still scarred, 23 (?) years later.

There's a valid argument that the greater tendency these days to take young players on loan significantly reduces the chances of a club like ours making a large profit every few years on a young player that we have developed from scratch and then sold on.  It used to be a back-handed insult to term a club as a 'selling club'.  I'd love to be a selling club now but, sadly, we have precious little to sell.

Worst transfer ever. Was worth 4x what we sold him for.

The thing about our man Candice, is that we were supposedly after him in the summer under Brown - which would suggest that he’s that good both managers would like him, or Jewell actually had input in the summer, or Power continues to have transfer input...
