My oxford supporting mate said he was crap. Perhaps its their style of football that didnt suit
He is. I've seen him play for Reading.

Is that a genuine answer, or are you just looking for reactions because you need some attention?
Neither I'm just pointing out that we sell cheap and have never made big bucks from a player/s.

I would rather have Andrea - she is probably less injury prone? I assume Ajose is going to roll up at some stage - BTW didn't we get decent money for him when we sold him? Of that era I note that Kasim is also a free agent?

Which is of course complete bollocks. There has been the odd one or two, like Ritchie, Sean Morrison and perhaps Flint. But historically we sell at the market rate depending on the time, and rarely have any of those player gone on to secure a massive increase in value.... and then with someone like Flint we had a sell on. A typical example would be someone like George Ndah, bought for 500K, played a couple of seasons and flogged for a mill to Wolves for whom he played 70 odd games in 7 years, before finishing. Or even a Zippy, who we bought for 15 grand, sold for £550K but got him back about 9 months later for half of that.

I still think Town could have got more for Simon Cox and Charlie Austin.

You missed out you-know-who. I'm still scarred, 23 (?) years later. There's a valid argument that the greater tendency these days to take young players on loan significantly reduces the chances of a club like ours making a large profit every few years on a young player that we have developed from scratch and then sold on. It used to be a back-handed insult to term a club as a 'selling club'. I'd love to be a selling club now but, sadly, we have precious little to sell.

Well, that's a bit underwhelming to be honest. That is the type of signing, a punt with no track record.

Especially with Wellens banging on about needing men. Bet Twine/Pryce ain’t happy.

No idea. Could be brilliant. Can't find much about him other than U23 footy. Presumably we are his first stab at league footy?
