IF we go down (looking very likely) i think half the playing squad will leave, sod that they have signed a contract or have 2 years.

the board will either sell them, or they will demand to be sold and there will be no point keeping them. the board will want the money and they will go for peanuts.

of course these are the players that have sent us down, and they will probably be playing in league one next season. they won't be going down.

the likes of evans, o hanlon, peacock, cureton, migs, brown, nicholas just to name a few i could see leaving just to offload some of the wage budget or get money for the debts.

But, you are right as soon as the club does down they will all look to jump ship as quickly as possible as most will believe they are above league two football, which they clearly arent because they are crap.

I hope some of them end up in the conference, or at least playing for a club with decent night life because thats what really matters.

o'hanlon evans and the two forwards are the only ones i'd be bothered about losing.

i think we may need a complete rebuilding process like huddersfield had a few years back when they went down. get rid of the high earning cunts who dont care. bring in the home grown talent like Caton, Lucas and co who could probably do a job for us in League 2. then, with more experience in the team we will set up for a return to championship in a 3 or 4 years time. a long time but sometimes it has to take a long time......

Bulman - Can fuck off.....We should have kept Steve Book....
J.Smith - Keep him. He was brilliant today.
Nicho - He seems to give a shit and can play football, so keep him
O'Hanlon - Hope he stays, but will leave on a free....
Ifil - Whats happened to him? He's signed a new contract, so is therefore loyal....
Gurney - Fuck off! He's vocal, but nothing else.
Jenkins - Keep him as his expierience is an asset.
Platt - Was terrible today.....Midfield is his position, not defence.
Shakes - Definetly keep him
Brown - Keep him too
Miglioranzi - Keep
Whalley - Still has a year left and has been one of our best players, recently.
Pook - Signed a new contract anyway....
P.Smith - He will be vital next season, so keep him.
Nicolau - Who? He can leave....
Peacock - Brilliant player! Doesnt deserve to be playing in league two, so therefor will probably be sold....
Cureton - I'm unsure about him.....He was terrible today and cost us 3 points. If an offer for around 100k comes in for him, i'd take it!
Caton - I feel we have missed him this season. Will be vital too, next season.
Roberts - Keep him. He needs a run in the team Iffy! Let him prove his worth, instead of just leaving him out.

We must try to sign Diogoraga though! He's brilliant!

the rest need to go, a total revamp is required - sadly it won't happen and i can see the majority of this team still being here next season.

Also, people say they want Stroud to play more.....He's only played, what, 3 games? If that? But thats because he's played well when he has played, and thats what i mean about Caton  :wink:

caton's only started one league game of us and that was a nothing game at the end of last season.

stroud was absolutely superb for us on his debut against huddersfield, plus he's a winger who can cross the ball. which is useful.

get rid of curo and o'hanlon.dv85 your joking surely.
along with peacock and evans the only players of value

half the squad won't cost much at all, most of them will go on frees if they can.

problem is, do you think we will get better players in!? course not.

given cureton's response to the town end today i'd like to see him strung up from the top of the nationwide and left to rot over the summer.

We have a few who are under contract or have accepted for next season.

  Namely under contract Gurney, Whalley, Cureton, Brown and Peacock.

 Then a few who've provisionally accepted for next season  CCP Pook Shakes Ifil Smith....

 Paul  Smith has said he'd like to sign.

  Of the rest SOH and Evans will look to leave and will find a club at L1 level.

  Migs...don't know.

  Some more kids will be brought through,  and Evans will need a replacement...the rest of the squad next season will be made of loans.

 Its possible someone may pay a 20K style fee for Cureton.

Simply, in my opinion Curetons style of play doesnt suit the bottom two divisions, two much hoofball. Not enough passes and through balls.

We might as well cash in and re-spend on someone more suited to the style down here

O'Hanlon I dont rate very much to be honest....

you cant fire balls into curo's head with is back to goal it wont work.i think he is a decent player and we should play to his strengths.o'hanlon battled like fuck today,i rate him.
i'd be more worried about our midfield,shakes and smith were to narrow and central,shakes crossing was woefull. there were 5 in midfield it might aswell been 3

I think peacock will stay. Only recently signed and I think he's settled for the time being. I hope to god curo stays. I think those two could be a real asset in league two next season.

How can we possibly miss Caton?  Roberts will be on his way too as there is obviously still something amiss as otherwise he would have at least been on the bench yesterday.  I think people are being a touch harsh on Bulman - vs. Crawley in a preseason friendly he looked handy and is still very young.  He'll also be on minimum wages.

I would persevere with O'Hanlon although of late he has been awful.  He's capable of being a class act though.

I've got a great idea to get us out of this crap.

Get rid of most of them.
Struggle to find replacements.
Start the season with a bunch of low paid strangers.
Have a bad start to the season.
Get loads of loanees in.
Play the loanees instead of the regular squad.
Drop the regular squad when they then come back rusty.
Complain about their fitness when they cannot get match fit because of the loanees playing
Send the loanees back.
Get another lot of loanees in.
Keep changing the team cos they're playing like they don't know each other.
Play them out of position to accomodate the loanees.
Spiral downwards.
Repeat process ad infinitum.
 
Sack the manager.

 That should do it.
