Yep, didn't seem like the players lacked determination, or team spirit...........

Sounds like a better performance by all accounts, because team spirit has been something we've lacked imo.

Well done to the team and manager, long may it continue.

To start looking like we are mounting a promotion challenge would be nice.

24 teams in the league want to mout a promotion challenge, doesnt mean they are good enough and it will happen.

A shame, but true....

Just because we want to mount a promotion challenge doesnt mean we are good enough to.

We're inconsistent. Ifil is the prime example, he was utter gash last week but we've all seen him have games where you could mistake him for Rio Ferdinand.

We've seen Brez look Premiership class and non-league!! McNamee looked like the best player in the league opening day other games he hasnt even touched the ball

Even your typical steady eddies like Easton have had bad games.

I put this down to the players and the manager. Apart from Paynter and Cox ALL of our players have had good and bad games this season. A couple of good results and some installed confidence and hopefully the mistakes will become less frequent and we'll look stronger.

Its clear we lack a leader in general, not just in defence. Whilst I think Aljofree is a capable CB at this level I am now convinced he isnt a captain.

We need someone in the team with a bit of presence about them, someone who will lead by example and someone who will try and take the game by the scruff of the neck when its needed.

We could do with one of those in CB and CM. Maybe Nalis could do the job but im not so sure.

I think a leader will help us improve and I think some results and confidence will stop some of the errors.

Additional to that, we just dont have the same quality other teams do. Just look at Leeds, they had players sitting on the bench who would have no problem getting into most teams in this league. Prutton and Howson would get in our midfield no problem.

We should and can do better with what we have got but if we wanted to have a serious automatic promotion challenge then we'd need to bring in more quality, spend some money and pay bigger wages.

Aljofree is not a captain he is too quiet and does nothing to motivate his team from what I can see, Nalis would be an obvious choice to me the players seem to respect his rants only trouble is it is his first season and he's not Swindon through and through. Peacock maybe but he cant guarantee a place - I have no problem with players like Paynter I think it would inspire him (I was so wrong about this guy), if not a forward go for a player who has never let us down and gives 100% Jack Smith.
Aljofree no way.

it shouldn't matter who wears the armband, cliched as it sounds you need 11 captains. for years we've lacked vocal players who can get their teammates motivated and the crowd behidn them as well.

Has is no captain, it was a bad decision from the outset.
If you cant motivate from the front you are going to be nowhere, I have not seen him ever do that, you need a nasty hard rusty nail.
