I'm on Strongbow tonight. Fancied a change from the wine. Thought it would probably last me longer. Plus they didn't have any offers on in the shop, so I was looking at 2 crapper than normal bottles for a tenner. 16 cans for the same looked a better proposition.

Had a day off drinking and smoking yesterday. I thought detox was supposed to make you feel better?

Certainly will, just need to pick my games.  I usually drive to matches, and I realise that driving and the usual pre-match ritual don't mix :beers:

I may be getting long in the tooth, but I don't scare that easily

It's heading towards midnight and your chatting on the tef. I think Soniques wandered off so there is a really good chance that yes, you are the only one not drinking.

The Late Night Thread has gone through more evolutions than youraverage Digimon. They've been getting better again recently, they should normally have a less vague start  though.

Did anybody do anything today which wasn't dart related?

I've done fuck all myself. Watched my leftover downloaded Fresh Prince Episodes this morning before going back to sleep and waking up at about 1.30. Days off the booze always give me mental dreams (Apperently mental dreams are something that run in my family, but I normally don't remember them, ahem).  It wasn't very long. I was in Hong Kong (possibly, it ran on a bit from a previous dozing off and waking up) when I was looking through a window and noticed loads of buildings on the skyline falling over and knocking each other like domino's. Then there's a weird bit which I don't remember very well - involving telekinetic brain surgery, before it switched back to me on the bottom floor of a shaking building, running out, and then looking up to the view of 1000's of bricks falling on me.

Weird one.

And yeah you youngling. You should definately know what padawan means.

I watched Massacre at Dragoon Wells on Channel Five this afternoon.

Made in 1957, it was a terribly acted, terribly scripted western.

I fucking loved it!

Tomorrow they're showing The Sheriff Of Fractured Jaw, a much superior film, but still worth watching................................

Film4 in the afternoons can be quite good for random films. I have to say I'm of the opinion that films have generally got better over the years. I'd much rather take a risk on a random post-1975 film than a pre-1975 one.

That probably continues up until about the mid nineties ish where it gets to the point where I would have probably heard of any random film I'd watch if it was any good. This rule quite often gets broken though.

On a semi-related note, has anybody got a dvd copy of Sir Henry at Rawlinson End that I could thief?

wow it's not.

The Aeroplane on the treadmill question is easy. As is the pint keeping up question. The former is that you'd get no lift on the wings, the latter is that you'd run out of pint glasses.

Do you have much to do outside of your rest breaks? I mean apart from rescuing cats out of trees.

Is that the film you've been watching?

You should have stuck around. It's been nothing but excitement around here.

pretty good so far, no dodgy discs, they've sent me all my 'high priority' films except Die Hard 4.0 which I'm still waiting for and i get a DVD back 2 days after I post it. i.e. if i post it on Monday, they get it on Tuesday and I get another one back on Wednesday.

Not sure why I explained that in detail, I think most of you would have understood it. oh crap, now I'm rambling.

it's so much better getting proper DVDs, and they have HD ones too so I can start watching them once I get my christmas present.
