Wow those highlights are rubbish.

On a separate note, I want to take the kids to a game but don’t want to pay. Suggestions?

Just trying to gauge where your expectation levels are likely to be based on experience. If you have only followed the town for the last 18 years then I could understand  Smiley

Thirty years of going to matches (I'm told I was 3yrs old when I went to my first). The first I remember though, I was 5 and it was in the Leppings Lane stand at Sheffield Wednesday in 1990 (not that long after the Hillsborough disaster, although the importance of I was unaware). I think we lost 2-1.

Not the longest running fan but long enough to have seen plenty of ups and downs from late 80s onwards. Missed out on the record points year. Was spoilt by the late Macari/Ardiles/Hoddle football and our highest league position to date. Quickly suffered the slump that followed and the subsequent years of so close and nearly men (as we all have). Think we all know supporting Town is full of many peaks and troughs (can't have one without the other really) and in the last 4 years only the play off no show v PNE has been our "high"of sorts. Since then it's largely gone to shit. However, length of time supporting (while taking its toll) I don't think is massively important. It's down to the individual and if we have a positive or negative outlook.

Having Swindon as one of my middle names, it means I can't exactly stop supporting the Town. Cheers Dad!  Pint

We need managers, not players.

Are your kids any good at FM, Sippo?

A striker wouldn’t go amiss

...as for managers would anyone rather we lost today & Brown got axed rather than we won?

It's a horrible thought, wishing your own team would lose, but...

Even then I think Power would still dither. His inaction when things need to be fixed is my biggest gripe with him.

The equaliser came from open play, a good pass down the left and a shot parried out to by Vigs. The rebound duly dispatched. Something we could learn from - gambling on second balls from shots.

Memory recall a bit cloudy judging by the highlights.

No. We won a game that is always a reason to celebrate... I guess when you don't go any longer, you lose sight of that.

The commentator seemed excited when York equalised  Grin

So excited he gets the whole description wrong.

Job done and a relief.

Positives. Twine and a nice finish to get off the mark.
Mention in despatches for Iandolo and Dunne.
An interesting choice of captain as well.
Would be surprised to see that same formation or a similar line up on Saturday, but refreshing to see a youngish side minus the grandads.

Letting them back into the game was an irritant.

Not heard an effort on goal booed before, even if it was a very poor one and the long range shooting was rubbish throughout.
Are these the same people who moan about not having any shots or a different group who prefer to see a couple of square passes before The Better Town End sign is disturbed.
We live in a boo culture I guess. Boooooooooooo.
