Williams would have been the logical choice if Coops had left for the Wendies but he must share some of the blame for the defensive ineptitude.

From what I've heard, Cooper is on borrowed time and a replacement is lined up (no prizes for guessing who).

Williams
Gareth Barry
Tim Sherwood (when sacked)
Steve Lomas
Sheena Easton

If you have the Skysports app on your iphone you can watch the highlights of the game on that.

Not sure if many people know that.

This whole Power picks the team tactics etc does my head in. Players who have left have all said it's Williams who works on the tactics with Cooper.

One way to get clues is to watch the bench when there's breaks in play and the players go over there etc.

Add to that the fact that Brighton played that style when Williams was there (and Poyet didnt take it with him to Sunderland etc) it becomes fairly clear

I think what people think is that Power dictates the style we play. Whether is because he honestly thinks it's our best way to get success or whether he feels we have to play this way to attract the PL loanees is a moot point.

I like our kamikaze football....more teams in the lower leagues should try it.

But will sacking cooper make any benefit, seemingly he does not have a huge say on players coming in, is not allowed to pick his own backroom team, style of play is not his decision.

But it is not a manager that is needed it is a head coach and Williams fits the bill knowing powers model (save money, cut budgets), but if Williams is that highly rated why has he not been snapped up by a better team, so I would question are we being led up the garden path about him.

Well, Cooper will definitely NOT be Swindon manager after this season as Power obviously has no intention of renewing his contract.

With Cooper knowing he's out of a job maybe it's not too surprising if he has 'fuck it' attitude.

IIRC correctly cooper has a rolling contract. It always has one year left to run.

Be interesting to see what happens with Cooper should he leave Town, he seems to be gaining almost Mourinho levels of appreciation from some fans who remain convinced that anything going wrong is down to Power and Power alone?
