I'm fairly relaxed now we're past 300.  Not a record breaking total, but enough to be fairly sure that Australia are unlikely to have much a first innings lead.  If the tail can dig in and stay in for most of this session, I'll be happy.

Anderson gone.  So much for digging in.

48 added by the 10th wicket now, and I have all of no sympathy for the Aussies whatsoever after Agar!

All this final wicket stand proves is par is 450ish.

I fancy the Aussie to have a lead here.

Chris Rodgers with all his county experience at Lords. Clarke back of 2 failures.

All done for 361, that's not bad at all from 27/3, a shade below part but nothing disastrous and not a surprise as both teams bowl better than they bat. Going to be interesting to see how Swann bowls after Smith's exploits last night.

Let's do a sweep on their first innings total.  I'm going lower at 345.

Ah, these new tinted specs are good, everything's a lovely shade of rose.

Watson gets a start and gets out lbw. Shane Warne once described Monty Panesar as "playing the same test 32 times" and the same has to apply to Watson, he just does the same every time.

And he's wasted a review on something so plum you could make a pudding out of it.

400 plus is a par score on this wicket.  If the Aussies want any chance of winning though, they will need to be looking at getting 450-500 which i cant see them doing

That review was beyond stupid!

What the hell is Rodgers doing up the other end?  He should have told Watson to keep walking!  Have Aus not learnt from wasting reivew in the first test?

That's one of the worst balls ever to take a wicket in Tests I should think, a full toss into the groin and it's plump willy before wicket Cheesy

Even better it was missing and would have been overturned on review but he's not reviewed it out of embarrassment and because Watson's already wasted one. Hilarious.

Bresnan takes a second- Hughes caught behind and, as is now traditional for Aussies, wastes the review.

Thought we got lucky with that Hughes dismissal.
