Just watched the second half of Funny Ha Ha on Film4. I'm a sucker for vaguely critically appreciated unknown films because I'm a pretentious cunt. But it really was quite good. Sort of like an understated peep show/the office but just straight characters and without the gimmicks. recommended from what I caught, and I'll probably track it down so I can see the first half.

Just watched Avatar.
I've never really been into the whole Sci-fi thing, but I thought it was fucking brilliant.

I watched Training Day again last night. A decent thriller, good entertainment and not at all taxing on the brain.

I hope Simon Pegg is as ashamed of that film as I am.

over the weekend i watched the following Anchorman- After the 3rd of 4th time of watching it actually found this film funny. Empire Record- One of my fave films Mallrats- As above, Kevin Smith at his best in my opinion (apart from clerks) Run Fat Boy, Run- Was just on TV as a bit of background noise, seen it before, its ok.

Nearly watched that, but saw shit reviews on another forum and didn't bother. Sounds like it was a good call.

Watched that Men who Stare at Goats last night. Didn't think it was that bad, although I assume Ewan McGregor was only cast to enable them to make a whole load of self-referential Jedi jokes.
Also watched In the Loop the other day, a tour de force of creative profanity.
