Given 12 months suspended. The club has said his employment will continue.

Well done club.

Well done club.

Does it not depend if the FL / FA now get involved though

the FA didnt even suspend him from football whilst the case was ongoing, i wiuld imagine he will be ok.

If he does get banned or something, just put a wig on him and change his name to someone else by deed poll ;)

Isn’t Donohue up before the beak today?

Wasn't it just a pre-trial not the actual trial

Apparently he declared tax on the money. So he must have thought what he did was OK at the time?

Would have a horrific irony if the FA kicked off when you consider who they feel is 'fit and proper'?

That seems to suggest that if it goes to full trial it isn't going to be until November (as they would be tried together I assume), wonder why Donohue hasn't been mentioned perhaps he has pled guilty?

Yes it does suggest that not sure why there is no mention of Donohue though.

It's  a bit of a coincidence that Wellens has gone quiet on Donohue just when we need him most but can't see it happening now as he's pleaded guilty and will appear at Leicester crown court in March

He said last week pre game that we hadn't signed him because of a fitness issue. More likely he was waiting the outcome of the trial IMO.

Well there you go, no idea if he will go down although understandable why the club were loathe to sign him, albeit could they not do a month by month?

Rather embarrassing in that story that the Advertiser don't know or couldn't be arsed to work out who the member of the coaching staff is in the picture?

In their defence they are totally understaffed. Be amazed if there is a sports section in 2 years time or even a paper

Can be bothered to look for it now, but I am sure that the head sportswriter on the Adver's Twitter bio suggests he is a freelancer?

They've been slowly dying for a long time now. That much was clear when they started using sensationalist headlines; a tabloid-esque style used to inflame and sell.

I don't know for sure, but I'd imagine to compensate for the abysmal pay, benefits and overtime he's allowed to freelance for other organisations.

Local print media as we know it is dying a very slow, very painful death, drawn out by all concerned. The model needs to change.
