Let's keep the momentum going!
Another win away from home please.
FUCK YEAH!
Swindon 6/4 to win. A Swindon, Exeter and Mansfield away treble pays 13/1.

MDTs starting by 9am on the morning of the game. A sign of returning enthusiasm?

If we can get a win away at Grimsby on a cold wintery Tuesday night, this season may, just may be going somewhere... (must stop getting carried away )

If we can get a win away at Grimsby on a cold wintery Tuesday night, this season may, just may be going somewhere... (must stop getting carried away ) I think that would be fair enough. Flitters has flagged up how difficult these long distance mid week games are, you can tell the squad is starting to creak and groan a bit with injuries, also 5 bookings starting to loom for the likes of Dunne. To get through these kind of obstacles and still get points is what gets you up. A point might be doable, Grimsby don't score many and don't concede many, so a below par showing might be sufficient.

Didn't fancy us until this morning and suddenly feel very confident that we're going to win. 3-1 goals from Smith, Anderson and Mullin.
Would still probably take a point though.

Grimsby have not had a win in the last 6 matches. (4 league and 2 cup).
They have gone 4 consecutive home games without scoring (3x 0-0 draws and one single goal defeat).
The Grims havent scored a goal at home in the league since Sept 26th vs Colchester Utd.
They currently sit in 18th place on 23 points with 6 wins 5 draws 7 losses, scoring 19 and conceding 24.
At home they have played 9 won 2, drawing 4 with 3 defeats, scoring 14 conceding 11.
We have only ever won at Blundell Park 4 times in 21 meetings, and only ince (2003) in the last 14 matches since 1967, with only 2 draws in that time too.
2-1 defeat in front of 3,134 fans with 285 Town fans there, Dunne sent off.

Pre match mingling with the descendants of Odin in The Yarborough Hotel.
Not been here since Jan 93. The late Paul Futcher played for them that night, as did the wonderfully named Jim Dobbin. We lost.
Not seen the "Grimsby Army, Swindon Barmy" people for many a year. Hopefully still keeping the faith somewhere.
Season is panning out ok so far. Winning when not playing well. Check. Battling until the very end to pick up points. Check. Comeback win. Check. Winning away at difficult Northern outpost in midweek. Pending.
Looking forward to some fish & chips later. Sadly, unlikely to be a local catch in the former home of the largest fishing fleet in the world. Bloody foreign fish, coming over here and battering our own fish out of a job.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change? Crap!

Is that Mr & Mrs Mauler? Saw them last month, but doubt they'll haul over there from Leicestershire midweek...

Most likely Norwegan or Icelandic. Been a while since we had a cod war, I'm sure Brexit will put that right. Back in the day, the Mariners would leave boxes of kippers about gratis to any visiting players, managers etc... I'd imagine the ref and lino could help themselves also as long as they kept quiet about it. Ideal for a midweek game, spot of kedgeree for breakfast after the long haul back.
