WDP is saying that Lee Holmes has been offered a deal at Sheffield Wednesday.

Holmes wanted to go to a Championship side so.. looks like he will get his wish. Crying

Wednesday have taken a Spanish U21 left winger on trial from Athletico Bilbao, so its not certain Holmes would go there.

I reckon he would have a much greater chance of first team football here, so if he's trying to progress his career, he'd be much better off here.

I don't want any player who doesn't 100% want to play for us.

Did a great job with us last time - good luck to him.

Who the fuck is going to want to play for a bankrupt, messed up, old club like ours. Seriously!

That's got to be the most deluded comment ever. Have we ever had a player who'd wanted to play for Swindon and only Swindon 100%. We'd have no players. Of course he'll take the opportunity to play at a higher level if he has a chance. There isn't any loyalty involved, it's just sensible.

Wait, this is a fishing wind up isn't it?

It was a "Blah Blah Blah" comment - to save a world from the regular "He's a knob vs. Good luck to him" type debate.

I see that Holmes has still not joined Sheff Weds, and they do seem to be purusing other targets, so hopefully that means he will join us by Friday and put pressure on sofi.

I can only see Sturrock signing loan players at the moment due to the club ownership issue not being resolved.

As I think I've said elsewhere there's fuck all about Holmes being signed in the media up here. The only sources on the web that mention it seem to come from the WDP article. As they've got a Spanish left sided MF on trial and have just signed some Dutch fella I'm not sure there's much in it.
