my PC is pretty high spec as it is

Dell XPS 600
P4 3.6mhz
4 gig ram
XP x64bit
Nvidia 7900GT 256meg graphics.

i was thinking od selling it and getting a new Dell 710 with duel core processor etc and SLI graphics.

SLI isn't really worth it unless you want stupidly high resolutions.

Probably best to get a better single graphics card, which are often double slot now anyway.

i've a friend with SLI and my graphics card runs faster frame rates than his.

Maybe an upgrade in CPU and Board + an 8800 graphics card will do the trick
