Umming and ahhing over whether to pay £40 to see Flaming Lips (support from Young Knives) at Brixton later this month.

Thoughts?

I'd do it. Saw them at glasto a few years ago, never seen a show like it. Incredible.

I've seen clips from festivals and it does look immense but not sure how their show would work in a more 'intimite' environment.

I see Frank Turner played in Winchester recently...at the Railway Inn..£22!!

I know he's getting to be a big name but £22 for that venue is mental.

Ive seen Frank Turner twice and I really dont get the obsession with him. Definitely wouldnt be paying that much to see him!

I don't get the hype...

Especially that price for a venue like that, too!

Been wanting to see Flaming Lips for years and finally managed to see them last night at Brixton.

I wasn't disappointed, they were amazing and would urge anyone thinking of seeing them to just do it.

Whos your mates band?? I seem to go every year now, regardless of whos playing. This year has nothing on last year though, still should be a good laugh.

Also got Parkway Drive in December, plus Asking Alexandria w/ the Ghost Inside & Crown the Empire in November Cheesy

White Denim in Bristol last night. Fucking superb band. No gimmicks or frills...just 2 hours of straight up face melting. Just a shame the Anson Rooms has such shite acoustics.
