Fook me, that is a lot. I hope he's worth it.

Although, of course, it'll likely be 10p upfront and the rest after 125 England caps. Or something like that. I may have exaggerated just a little.

Well, if I thought £200k was a lot of money for 7 career goals...Flitcroft must really rate him.

And Power must have really wanted Cooper not to have him. 😉

Part of me wonders if Norris' injury meant Power was willing to up the bid rather than waste 2-3 weeks buttering up somebody else. Far-fetched?

Have to say, it seems a lot for a player not wanted by a League One club.

This signing was on the cards before Norris got injured. Helluva lot for L2.

Is Flitcroft PdC in disguise?

Power yet again spending on a player. If the fee is true that is 5th on the all time league 2 record for a player. Our last highest league 2 transfer was £170k on Blair Sturrock. (Transfermarkt.co.uk)

Fingers crossed the investment is a success and he helps us out of this league

Woolery done - £350000 according to BBC Wilts (aka Power briefing)

£350,000?
£350K
Three hundred and fifty thousand pounds?

The world had gone mad.

Assuming its not your normal Power  £75K  + £275K when we win the champions league..

Still, we've got another player, which is good. Is he quick, big, small, tricky, direct, or what?

Usain Bolt in boots, apparently. Not a main striker, more a winger type. TBH, fuck knows

Utility forward. Will play up as a two with Smith or Norris, or wide of a three. Rapid, direct and improved in front of goal as last season went on (in the handful of games I saw him play for FGR on TV).

Best player on the pitch in the play-off final.

Quote
If we're playing 433 then we needed another winger anyway, so this makes a lot of sense.
Would assume the first choice lineup would be KMB Doidge Woolery, with James rotating on the wings as provide rest of the wide players and

From the FGR site. Everything they have to say suggests he's a winger/wide forward.

Being curmudgeonly, this investment would have been welcome last season.

But ho hum - exciting times ahead!

It would have been a waste of money under Williams.

sounds like the type of player who can run the channels/take defenders on then.

exactly the sort of player we'd have wasted last year in the name of 'dominating the ball'

edit: damn you, beaten by FH! Totally agree!
