Actually, if you watch that game again (and again and again and again) over the 90 minutes we did deserve the win.

After they brought it back to 3-3 they had just one more, heart stopping opportunity to go 4-3 up when Whiltow broke through only to be denied by a Taylor/Calderwood pincer movement type thing.

They needed to score from that as the sheer effort of coming back from three down had totally drained them. From then on we had the better chances. Ling had a decent effort saved, Mitchell should have done better when one on one with Poole and the real OST had a good effort cleared off the line.

It's all irrelevant now but it's a shame it wasn't one of those efforts that won it for us.

As you say OST; they ran out of steam once it got back to 3-3; we could have scored 3 or 4 times. Like you say it was a shame it wasn't one of the other chances but good old chalky  Cheesy   (what a feint it was to show he had been caught by the goalie!)

Quote from: "OOH!  SHAUN TAYLOR"

And Hurst's second goal in the '66 World Cup Final was a foot over the line

Now there's ignoring the truth and there's ignoring the truth.
