i think preston were hard done by in that instance, parkin was raped on that freekick...amazing how the linesman didn't see him being wrestled to the ground by carragher but did see him put two hands on carraghers legs to stop him getting up...

On a side note, thought Deepdale looked a tidy stadium from the TV pictures (not having been there myself like) and the sort of ground we should be looking to develop the CG into idc. Sounded a reasonable atmosphere (if you count booing Gerrard as atmosphere) from the old goggle box.

Spot on,exactly what i was thinking whilst watching the match.I don't really like 2 tiered stands

 I think Preston must now be the proper club, who we've not had a game against for the longest time...must go back to 85/86.  Then we played them in Div 4 and they were just about the worst team I'd ever seen...had the present system been in place they'd have fallen into non league.

 In fact we've only had 4 fixtures in the last 30+ years.
