Brad Smiff's been recalled by Liverpool.
No reason given, unhappy about Bell or some sort of injury?
The main problem for us is that you need three callups to get a game cancelled right? Playing without Yasser and Massimo would be a real problem.

Cock, that can't have come at a worse time really, as with Branco injured, Thompson suspended and Bell being a little bit shit on Saturday and at Plymouth, we're suddenly a bit bereft at the back. Maybe Smith's been recalled to replace Balotelli up front?

Do we get compensation for that? As it was a season loan?

Yes we now currently face the possibility of Bristol City at home without Kasim and Luongo. Lad I know spoke with Lee Power last weekend in the George in Lambourn he was there with Sean Curran who trains his horses, he told him that it looked like Liverpool were going to recall Smith due to not starting. Another interesting thing he said was Luke Williams had been approached by Tottenham to run the Academy but the club were trying there best to keep him.

Thought I'd check out this thread today... wish I hadn't. The wheels are coming off... I wonder if Yas will say no to Iraq again to help us out?

He had played every game but then got a injury and his replacement had a couple of good games, seems a very harsh decision by Liverpool unless they actually want to play him. Seeing how bad their defence was yesterday it wouldn't surprise me.
Screws us now because we'll have games without Kasim and Luongo.

Cock. That is all.
Losing L Williams would probably be a disaster too.

That's a bit shit.
Youth loan rules must allow a recall then, because standard season long loans can't be recalled.

I don't blame Liverpool for recalling him. They send them out on loan to play not to sit on the bench. We should be aware of this in my opinion.
As everyone else says this screws us for the Bristol City game, or at least make's it much more difficult.

Do you think they were not aware of it? Were they to play Smith out of fear of him being recalled when we have Bell whom is, by all accounts, the better player?

Not entirely fair. He had an injury which made him miss a few games then came back from playing with the Socceroos and missed one game, which for all we know could be down to tiredness or a small knock. This is definitely unfair from Liverpool, unless they want to chuck him in the first team. I wonder who we'll get in to replace him. I wonder if Liverpool will think "we have kinda screwed them there, let's send them <name> to fill Brad's spot for now"... we can dream.
