Was a bit of a non-event this August player of month. Hopefully the players will get their act togeather so there's a bit of debate and disagreement next time...

To be fair, you could have asked a hundred people and you'd have still had total unanimity, nobody else is even close.

Foderingham for me, first 3 football league games and 3 clean sheets, you can't ask for more than that and he also made a couple of very important and excellent saves in that period.

Although Flint has come back and been awesome, McCormack looks solid at the back and Ferry has refound much of his form too.

Definitely should go to the Fodz.

Yup, lots of players have a claim this month, but Fods for me too. Didn't expect anything much from him, he's been superb (backpass aside :))

Anywho, how come PDC isn't nominated for the manager of the month. They are a curse but the team deserve recognition.

Paul Benson for me, been in great form this month.

rooney for me, a breath of fresh air, so direct, how many assits/goals has he got already?

1 goal and if i can remember atleast 2 assists

My vote's gone to McCormack - so important in our superb goals against record - has looked steady and held us together during some recent dodgier team performances.

A hard one, but Benson has scored something like 5 in 5, so it'll be he who gets my vote

Close one but has to be McCormack he's been immense for us again this month

How fantastic is it that there can be genuine debate about four, five or six of the players, all who in one way or another deserve it.  I have voted for Benson, but equally could have gone for Rooney, McCormack. Foderingham, Caddis....  Benson, as well as scoring has just worked tirelessly.  Even against Shrewsbury, when their defenders were all over us, he never stopped fighting for every ball.  A great example, as PdC has said.

Another vote for McCormack here.  He's been so consistent and has held the defense together even though there have been changes in personnel.

McCormack for me but closely followed by Benson with Rooney 3rd.

Hard one to call this, Rooney has caught the eye, Fodders kept us in the game against Hereford and Shrewsbury, Benson is working his socks off but for me it has to be Alan Mac.  His consistency is proving the catalyst for some great performances in front of him, he reads the game so well, wins the ball and uses it intelligently.

It's hard to single out any players really. I think the same will be true of the player of the season. I almost feel as though it's unfair to vote, because in voting you're singling out one player over about 7 or so who have likewise been consistent and superb.

It just shows how good this squad is.

Fodders in goal? Kept us in it toawrds the end of the first half with two fantastic saves.

Personally i went for Caddis myself but like others have said, it's between 4 or 5 players.

Benson for me but as most have said could easily have been Rooney, McCormack, Caddis, Ritchie, Fodderingham...

Benson. The way he reads the game and his touch is fucking classy. Love watching him.

Benson reminds me of sheringham. A goal hanging sheringham. Not quick on his feet, but so much quicker in the head than the oppositions defence

Well i will go against the grain and go for Devera...not put a foot wrong and this player after a dodgy start is showing real class just lately.

Too many to chose from. I'll give it Benson but it could have been anyone.

I went Benson. Tough choice but he is making such a difference at the moment. He does the lot: hold, link, score, assist. If we'd had him at the start of the season we'd be 10 point clear (just guessing).

Our Player of the Season vote has been open since Monday. The winning player will secure the prestigious ‘Fraser Digby Tortoiseshell Comb Award’ when the result is announced on Friday 4th May 2012. Players eligible for the vote include only those squad members who have played in at least 10 games in all competitions. Medhi Kerrouche is ineligible as he played for O*ford during the season. The choice is yours to vote for the winner before the poll closes at 8pm on Thursday 3rd May 2012.

Ritchie in a very close 4th place.

It's funny how it took a rookie manager to watch just a few videos and say that Caddis clearly prefers the play in front of him and that right back will be his best position. Meanwhile an established manager played him right across midfield and at both full backs, leaving many on here saying Caddis should be a right midfield and Manky was better at RB.

I fucking love Caddis and he's so much better than Mankmaster flash. I love how only Di Canio was able to see how good a right back he is and showed the fans the true Caddis.
