I read a thread on the utd forum on kovar and they are amazed at the reports coming back over his loan spell performances. they all thought he was one for the utd jersey in years to come
And he may yet still be. He just had a shit loan spell, it happens. IIRC Harry Kane's first loan spell as a youngster was a train wreck. He seems to have done OK.

I know what you mean but you may have picked the wrong player in Kane.

Kane scored 5 goals in 18 games of which 9 were starts and 9 sub and was widely hailed a s star in the making as a17 year old thrown into a poor performing Orient team.

Quote
There were few, if any at all, who predicted it, and certainly none who went on record. But no one who worked with Kane during his loan spells, first at Orient and latterly in the Championship at Millwall, was in any way cynical about the significance of the talent in front of them.

Speak to those who witnessed his rise and it's easy to get lost among the platitudes for the young Kane. He was a professional certainly, with a winning and willing attitude; he integrated well; his movement, touch and finish were all excellent and of undoubted Premier League quality.

Such was his work ethic that most days after training at Orient he would return to Tottenham and put in more hours with the coaching staff at his parent club. The O's agreed that since Spurs' under-21s weren't playing in league competition, their loanee could return to north London when they weren't involved in a game and play there.

No idea about his loans, I do however remember his appearing all the time in Spurs European games for a period and never looking very good.

Didn't need him did we! Wasn't any good was he! We made far more chances without him didn't we!

He wasn't a saviour, but I think I would rather be watching Burton now than us!

Woolery scores third goal in three matches.

Jonny Smith's goal for Burton was really e well taken.

Yates is scoring goals.

Doyle has scored a few .
