Club to revise their plans
TOWN’S new acting chief executive says every effort is being made to ensure the club’s operating losses continue to fall.
Finance and administration manager Martyn Stames has stepped in while Sandy Gray is in hospital and although he says the club’s current business plan will be looked at, there is no cause for supporters to panic.
He said the board would decide what action to take to ensure the club would be in as strong a position at the end of the campaign as it was at the beginning.
He said: “We will sit down in the cold light of day, assess what this means to us as a club and may have to revise our business plan accordingly.”
He stressed that the club would not be looking to eat into the ‘football’ budget to address the sudden loss of finance.
“Yes, there are issues to be addressed and we are determined to ensure this club is a success, both on and off the pitch,” he said.
Clearly continued success on the pitch and increased gates will be important.
He said: “Hopefully we will get some momentum and continue to increase attendances.”

Dont know but he seems to talk sense!
he makes the point well that the problems financially are not catastrophic, just we have to reassess thats all (which is pretty obvious if your financial backing personnel changes!)
I like the sound of this guy whomever he is....

yeah he does talk realistically tbh. at least it shows the board are aiming to do something about the loss of investment

Martin has been on the scene for a while I think, at least since the turn of the year. I think he was the guy brought in to help with the stadium development, I could be wrong.

No, Martyn is what the article says - finance manager. Seems a good bloke, used to be at Yeovil in their accounts/finance dept IIRC.
