You can't expect no puns arriba, this thread doesn't exist in a vacuum!

If it did, there wouldn't be much atmosphere.

After being a golf fan from distance for too long. I've managed to blag to comps for tomorrow. Cannot wait. Any tips from hardened veterans, other than get there early?

I don't suppose anyone had any money on Lewis or Bjorn to lead after the first round? I suspect odds on both were astronomical.

Looking forward to it greatly,Kaymer to win it for me...Justin Rose at 50/1 is good E/W he plays the link courses well.
Hass is massive and is quality and Lucas Glover at over 200/1 is worth a shilling, just getting his game back together and is a major winner.

See Mr Glover is currently leading.........was 250/1 Eek

Very early doors though.

find a good spot that gives you a good vantage point for two/three holes. there's usually an area with a bar that surrounds one green, one tee and another fairway. that way you get to see everyone and get smashed. then, as day goes on, just choose your favourite hole of the back nine and watch the lot go through.

if you follow one group you'll see very little action.

No written rules on how to go at these events. Some people camp on certain holes, others walk with certain groups, and others like me just wander about and see how things go.

Tom Watson hole in 1, great moment.

Another tip for watching I'd offer is don't bother watching fairway shots, stick to tees and greens.

Hole in one from Watson.
So could there be a hole in one on all four days after yesterdays by Dustin Johnson?

Whatever happens take some lightweight waterproofs, nothing worse than being wet.
No rules on what you look like so be dry rather than wet and cheezed off.

Bubba on the charge, he's leading my pack so far, but Kaymer and Dyson well placed too.

McDowell is going backwards, that's one of my bets out of the window.
Atleast Kaymer is there or thereabouts.

...Hazel Irvine just apologised for a "remark in commentary" at the end of Darren Clarke's round.

What on earth was said in Golf commentary that requires an apology? (Apart from shouting get in the hole, that should deserve a flogging)
