No that was Mildenhall who clashed with the post and ripped the testicle.

Speaking of crap goalies having blinders...
Anyone remember Talia's performance away at Charlton in 99/00? They were top, we were bottom... He had the game of his life. I don't think I'll ever see a better goalkeeping performance.
He also got MoM from the coach travelling supporters away at Old Trafford I think.

No not him unfortunately, he didn't play at Old Trafford that was Digby in the Prem season and Talia in the LC a few years later.

I had to check my recollection wasn't wrong, looking at around 1:22:30 onwards on the below, it wasn't a post! Did well to clear the second ball with his head though!
I recall he won man of the match but only wanted the ice bucket after the game?

I thought it was a clash with post, my memory is obviously not that great, and yes he played outstandingly that day and it still makes me shudder watching it.

Quote from Mildenhall on the game. You can never forget your debut. I made my first League start (as a keeper this time) for Swindon away at Portsmouth (in October 1997), live on telly on a cold Halloween night in the old First Division after Fraser Digby got injured in the warm-up.
I was only 19 and Robbie Pethick slid in on me after five minutes and cut open my delicate regions. I had to carry on and played the whole game. We won 1-0, I got man of the match and got my tackle stitched up after.

Just read he retired at end of last season, had a decent career all told.

Yeah I liked Mildy, would have happily seen him come back, is a Swindon fan as well apparently. Now GK coach at Rovers.

Remember that game well. My brother lived in Portsmouth and his room mate at the time was a big Pompey fan.
We were top of the Championship after that game.

He played a fucking blinder away to West Ham once.
West Ham away, Barnsley home, two consecutive games. He had an absolute stormer in both and undoubtedly won us 6 points. I personally couldn't stand him though and will never forgive him for Peterborough away.

I think you're getting mixed up with Phil Babb when he slid in at speed to make a clearance? Sent from my SM-G930F

Top of the league and that's where the decline for the next 20 years started. We slid down the table, Chris Hay got sent off and lost his form, the Stevenage defeat and everyone turned on McMahon by the end of the season. Sent from my HTC One M9

20 years of decline. Perhaps the club could release a commemorative souvenir collection to mark such an impressive milestone?
May I suggest mugs...
