Clem Morfuni knows jack shit about football. So will be surprised if the new manager is anyone but Gunning.

The fact he is on his 6th manager in 3 years says how incompetent the clown is running a football club

I think we have to be a bit objective here.

On the face of it, Garner was potentially a good appointment. A risk, but he had backing and was given a decent set of players. Losing in the play offs was disappointing as the team was probably good enough to go up.

Lyndsey was a cheap appointment, and we probably got rid of him too quickly. He has done very well at Crawley with a limited budget. Having said that, some of the football we were playing at the end of his tenure was awful!

Morris was hailed by many. A total disaster, but made worse by the fact that his only decent defender was sold and not properly replaced. Then, it appeared as if he really wasn’t trying before he was sacked!

Flynn seemed a good appointment. What a start! Then he couldn’t get the defence right. But, bizarrely, he wasn’t given the recruits from January to turn things around.

Mad Gav. Rumours he doesn’t know what he’s doing. Players who were doing well before dropped off a cliff. Last years PotS seemed to be sidelined (to LB) and has now gone. As has McEachran, who with 59, looked as good as Kinsella (who we let go and was consistently in contention for MotM every game for Chelters in L1.

I think the problem is that there are too many dodgy people squeezing money out of the club. Everything is being done on the cheap. Fix that and we might have a chance of rebuilding. But right now, you could bring in Klopp and he wouldn’t be able to compete with U18s.

I imagine going through 6 managers in 3 years isn’t too far off the norm these days…

Sunday seems a weird day to make an announcement to me, at least

Agree, Sunday seems an odd day to announce a new manager Tuesday onwards seems more reasonable but with STFC you just never know.

I mean we live in a 24/7/365 media world - so I don’t see why you couldn’t announce something on a Sunday - everyone would still be fully aware of it

I've heard John McGreal is coming back for a glorious second spell. He loved it here the first time around so couldn't resist.

First signing will be Kieron Freeman from Oldham.

On the Sunday thing, and very much doubt its the reason, but would be Monday Australian time. Bonzer!

Here is an absolutely random rumour I got told yesterday.

We are after the manager of one of the Chelsea youth teams, no names were mentioned, but thought I’d share.

Ed Brand returning Royal Rumble style would be quite something.

In all seriousness the U21 Manager Mark Robinson previously managed Wimbledon in League One so could be a target, but imagine he's paid more handsomely now than he would be here.

Alan Nixon has a story on us today. You'd have to assume it'll be manager based.

It could also be to bury the news. Sunday on a bank holiday weekend, lessens the immediate impact of whatever nonsense they are planning.

Maybe but does it really?
I know TEF isn’t the be all & end all but how many TEFs won’t come on at all over the bank holiday weekend (same for those who get their media from Facebook or Twitter or WhatsApp groups etc)

If anything you would have put football related news out yesterday to lose it under Ipswich getting promoted, Leeds conspiracies about how EFL want to keep them in the Championship & Birmingham getting relegated after previously being 5th but then deciding to sack their manager and appointing Rooney & the manager that they sacked keeping his new club up at their expense

Add in another couple of debatable penalties for the two title contenders & Haaland smashing in 4

….bottom half L2 team appoint manager gets lost in the football headlines
