I don't think i'll ever bother going to the dentist again. I just accept that my toothpaste is going to end up a dark pink colour when i spit it into the sink.

Local anaesthetic i presume? The violent grinding noises without being able to feel anything always get me :shock:

yes thats exactly it.Its the first filling since I was a kid I forgot that they drill stuff for fillings.I just thought they were going to stick some stuff in the whole that was already there. Got to go back next week for another one then I have to find a non emergency Dentist to sort the other ones out.

I've had the fear of dentists put into me since i had to have emergency dental work after an unfortunate ice-skating incident. I then had to go to the dentist every week for 2 months, which involved anything up to an hours worth of drilling. Has put me off dentists and ice skating for life.

The local anaesthetic is funny as though, i had to go back into school afterwards and i was dribbling everywhere

in every town there is a "special" dentist, they are for people who are scared shitless of dentists, like me,

im having 3 fillings on thursday and they inject you in the hand and it knocks you out for 30 minutes and hey presto all done.
