I wont be repeating my usual routine, as it would involve going out now getting battered then dancing like a twat, going home being sick or pooing the bedroom mrs going mental then getting up for the game.  By teh way she would be blamed for me getting drunk obviously  :D

All pubs used to have mild,  it ranged from fairly week to quite strong, and is essentially a brown beer....brown ale when bottled.

Sometimes you see the odd guest beer.....but for hundreds of years it was a staple of the drinking classes in England.

That was brilliant, fair play to Sturrock and Peacock.  Peacock wanted to win so much, gutted I offered to play at back second half.  I swear if my fluke of a long way out volley had not been tipped around the corner, I would of stripped naked and retired!

DV had so much space and nearly got a few, bennett didnt stop eaither - he could of had a goal.

Hanaham (sp) is a great keeper with a hell of a kick - shame he didnt get a jimmy glass goal.

Lastly, Gary Stanley gets a hell of a lot of shit, from me as included, he is STFC through and through.  I wish he had scored at the end as that woudl of meant more to him than anything, your a good lad gazza - fair play to getting to that ball at the end.

Cheers to everyone who came.

Thanks for your kind words guys! Most of the stick I get is in jest. Some of it deserved. To me there is nothing that gives you so much pride as walking out to the County Ground pitch in the famous red shirt. I've done it twice. I missed a few balls today but I think most of us did. I improved on last year and am still gutted to miss the goal at the end. I was so close but close is not good enough. I  sunk to my knees after that ball just missed the goal. Gutted! Cant wait to see the pictures though!

I did have one good long pass to DV. DV had acres of space at times but no service. Ash was great encouraging me when I came back on even though my ankle was fucked thanks to the guy who stood on it TWICE! Bennett ad some good touches. I was nervous as fuck to start with but very happy on the night!

@Gazza - hope so mate! Maybe the over 30's will be a slower game :) Any idea if bodin, Diggers and King are still palying (they were before the date moved).

@Lady - Now a 2pm KO so we can watch the Prem games at 4. No idea who is captaining

Old timers turn today. The mighty whites won 6-1. I scored a bullet header (1 yard out, dribbled in, stratton bank end) :)

Phil King seemed a little unhappy, but to be fair it's an impossible task to balance two team of randoms out. Just lucky our midfield was fucking good.

Anyway, well happy I did this. Surprised to last 90 mins in the slightly warm sun.

Reds-Phil King,
Whites - Mark Webb (STFC Masseur) I think. Was supposed to be Pook, didn't see him around the place but it didn't matter.

It was a mixed feeling of apprehension and excitement during the warm up. But loved every minute of it.
