Title: Wycombe matchday thread
Post by: el duque on Tuesday, September 26, 2006, 07:21:39
Doesn't seem to be one yet, so I may as well start it.

Massive day of work ahead, so not even a chance of getting up to Wycombe for the game. I'll be lucky to get out before midnight... Still, at least I'll be entertained (hopefully... if you can call it that) for a couple of hours this evening by the radio commentary.

2-1 town... forever the hopeless optimist.

[edit] Just noticed that my thread title is inconsistent with all the others. I would like to offer my profuse apologies for this oversight.

Pessimism has won the day, 2-1 Wycombe.  The nightmare continues.

2-2 draw i think unfortunately.....
Walsall will lose though to Shrewsbury and Lincoln will beat Boston tomorrow.
I think Torquay could do Franchise over too, but not so confident on that one....

I think we'll win tonight. they've got that jermaine easter - but jerel could do him out of the game. Think we'll do em 2-1, mooney for them (of course), fola and evans for us.

I'd sign up myself Yeovil, but World only supports macs with the latest system software. Mine's got the one before, and it would cost about 3k to also upgrade the programmes I use for work.

The dodgy link worked fine all last season, but now I get 'accessed denied'. Rumbled!

Cheers though.

He basically said to Ed before the game that Wise has pledged him future to STFC, or hoped he would say that if he was asked.

Ed asked him after the game, and Wise was pissed off, as it has put pressure on him. He said anything he's said to the board should be kept confidential.

I think Wisey doesn't know what to do at the moment and just wants to keep his head down to managing the team and not getting involved in the board room shit! Can't everyone just let him do that I guess?!

if i was wise (no pun intended) i'd do the same, keep the fuck out of it until its clear whats going to happen - i'm not even sure half the members of the board know whats going on

holt also said earlier 'there is no rift'  then later said there was a disagreement over wether BP had bought  shares or given a loan or not.

i'm all for more openess from the board, but maybe they should stick to written statements, and try to get someone thats abit more clued up to write them!

1) to much stoppage time
2) how did we not get a penalty at the end?

How we didn't get a penalty for handball I doo not know. The ref must simply have bottled it.

Overall it was a good performace (especially second half) and although Wycombe probably deserved a point, we should have held on having worked so hard

And to the guy that said Roberts is "obviously back on the drink"......Get a life you sad tw*t

Just seen the equaliser on the highlights - Brownlie lets their man get past him far far too easily its almost embarrassing - yes he's a striker, and he scored a great goal, but any credit he got from that is cancelled out by that defending.

It was Fola at the weekend and now Royce, come on lads!

Bring on Boston
