Wasn’t made clear, but I suppose he meant at the club whilst PB was there. Out of the loanees we had Elsnik would be my pick but highly unlikely he’d leave Derby.
Hussey has been mentioned but not for me. Banks seems the logical choice and I wouldn’t be bothered if he did or didn’t.
Didn’t he tell PB that certain players let him down before he left? Could be smarming with a view to a return.
That there is the very element of misinterpretation by media (shock horror). Banks reference was that the "players" let "Brown" down. Not the players let OB down. I'd take him, was good when he came in. Lost his stride after a three match suspension. If Brown were to get someone like Michael Turner (worked with Brown at Hull and Southend) to play behind him that would be fairly fruity. It would be convincing Turner, to come but Brown can cast the charm. Turner is solid for this level and if we have aspirations of going up it'd be a welcome addition. He's 34/35 so it depends where he sees his next step in his career. Contract expires end of June but Southend have the option to extend a year. Come on MT, come and work with your perma tanned friend. Brown quote re Banks: "He opened up and said that the players in the dressing room had let me as a manager down."

If I had to pick one it would be Ince. I think if PB had any interest in retaining Banks he wouldn't have sent him back with a game to go but you never know.
Maybe he sent him back because he'd seen enough and wanted to look at a few others in a match situation? Also would give Banks chance to sort out anything at Oldham (confirm his release etc). PB strikes me as decent in the "man management" area. Strong and fair (like his favourite cheese apparently!) but understanding too. We'll soon know, for sure.

I would be happy with that, had more good games than bad games for us.
Yep, as stated with a stronger DCM behind/alongside him it would allow his more attacking threat to come out. We saw glimpses of it and he clearly has an eye for goal. I keep suggesting a Michael Turner type signing. He be a solid addition to any L2 team wanting promotion.

Turner is a no nonsense lump of a centre half, not a defensive midfielder as you are suggesting. Would be a solid signing however.

As a collective (should please Reg), if we’re not careful our squad will be bigger than the one Di Canio had.

Admittedly but he can and has played as a DCM.

I'd love Toffolo to return think at this level he would be fantastic, but if the rumoured interest in Hussey is true then that would rule Toff out, hopefully Brown and find out if Toffolo is really interested or just not dismissing it just in case.

Cheltnumb fans still seem certain Hussey will sign for them, Hussey is one player I don't think will re sign for us. He doesn't link up well with Taylor down the left both are better going forwards than defending, we need a proper left back who can defend and doesn't get caught out of position as Hussey did for us so often.
Hussey also has a 5 match ban at the start of the new season for his "scuffle" with a fan and also didn't PB publically hang him out to dry after the incident?
Get a better LB in please PB and let Cheltnumb have him.

Interesting that Brown was talking about Mayonnaise returning, I wonder if it means that he does not expect all the centre backs to stay, makes you wonder why he offered a new deal to Mcgivern though
But with Lancashire, Preston, Conroy, Robertson, Romanski & Mcgivern assuming they all stay we will be overloaded with centre half's, I presume Robertson may get offloaded and Romanski may get shipped out on loan, but will still leave 4 which is plenty.

I think signing Mayonnaise was Plan B if Preston didn’t sign a new contract.
