Like Spencer said when this was discussed before, I'm also starting to think I'd rather have them in a game that actually matters because policing a nothing game with a small crowd will ruin the fact we've been looking forward to this game.

Cant see us going through. Vast majority of JPT 1st and 2nd round games go to the home side.

I had a feeling we'd get given a trip to St Mary's. I might go, despite not being able to think of a single reason why.

Well it's dissapointed we didn't get Oxford but at least we got a half decent tie as opposed to crappy Aldershot or Yeovil away.

Aldershot away would have been good.  Proper away end and haven't played them for a while.

We played them in the JPT in 2008/2009.

Apologies, thought that was at home. Went to rec in 2004ish and quite liked it.

Its a fair point though, it has a proper away end. That park you have to go through to get in looks like it could be 'fun' if the home contingent decide to take exception though!

Being a pedant,I thought we won a JPT game under Malpas.

We even managed to win at Aldershot when Malpas was in charge.

Id have backed us to beat anyone in that draw at home. But away to the Cup holders in the 1st round is a tough draw.

I think Fitton has said before that we are expected to progress in at least one of the cups - but to be fair, everyone associated with the club would take promotion and early exit's in all 3 cup competitions this year i'd think.

We'll probably sneak past Saints anyway...
