....in the I don't know some tin pot 50 over comp, I don't understand modern creeecket.

   Play suspended for good light.

Apparently the low setting sun is too bright  Cool

Derby are utter shit....the idea  18 counties should be shrunk to say 10 rergional teams to  make the games more competitve has to be the way forward.

Apart from Derbyshire, who'd be the other candidates then Reg ?

I'd put Northants forward, for a start.

Glos and Somerset would have to merge....Northants  and Leicester...Derby and Notts  form one side.....Sussex and Hampshire to join.    Ideally Suirey and Middlesex, but a problem of massive Test grounds, so Surrey and Kent and Middlesx and Essex.....Warwickshire and sadly Worcs.  Durham and Yorks.

I'd throw out Glamorgan on the basis they're Welsh.

So Lancs would stay....that would give you 10.

But if its for the greater good of English cricket, surely the deckchair dwelling geriatrics of Hove could be persuaded, especially if there was some sort of bus pass to The Rose Bowl.

Surely merging Lancashire and Yorkshire would be the best way to help end those years of rivalry.  They could have a pink rose to celebrate their union.

I'd then merge Durham and Glamorgan. Yes they are miles apart but if you are Welsh/not a proper county then you deserve it.

That leaves Gloucs and zummerzet to continue in their own right.
