I was going to watch that on BBCFour last night, but Sherlock was half an hour longer than I was expecting.

I didn't mind The Wave. However, The White Ribbon was a struggle.

Watched Up in the Air which I liked. Jason Reitman is looking like he's following his dads footsteps with aplomb.

I watched Julie and Julia last night.  Do not, under any circumstances, repeat my mistake.

Too late for me, but I'll repeat the advice. Fucking horrendous. Especially the modern day bits.

I didn't think The Wave was awful, just that the film was based on autocracy with the teacher being the supposed person in power. But he actually had little power throughout the film as the kids took on their own mad ideas.

It was also very unbelievable as the whole thing took place in a week, it seemed much longer in the film and that would have probably made it believable. It was an interesting idea but it didn't work for me. I suppose I am being a little too unfair on the obvious microcosm and wouldn't necessarily dissuade anyone from watching it, just don't expect a hard hitting film with a point which will really make you think.

Tonight I watched District 13 a French action thriller which had a lot of Parkour and martial-arts type stuff in it. Quite an enjoyable watch, it seemed like a martial arts film with a bit more budget. The storyline and acting weren't amazing, though not unbelievable, but the action and frantic pace made it a decent watch and kept the film flowing all the way through.

Watched the low budget indie sci-fi film Hunter Prey. A bit of a ropey start but becomes a really good film, especially considering it was an independent. Reminded me of a cross between The Outer Limits and Enemy Mine if everyone remembers those.

District 9 was alright. The best bit was when they caught a 'prawn' pissing in the street.

I watched that French film District 13 last night, I enjoyed it a lot. Guns and stunts = very good.

Inception

Is that a bit like matrix though? Not a big fan of sci-fi films. Seen toy story and shrek, but debating on whether to see A-team or not...
