Heaton

Jenkins O'Hanlon Ifil Smith

Shakes McDermott Whalley Nicolau

Fallon Roberts

On the basis that we need a change, we need some width and we need some pace up front.

I think we all know it will be a 3 - 5 - 2 fromation after a reasonable show at Bournmouth, as such you are both wrong. :|

I wonder who will be at the back in Gurn's absence?

Will CC-P come in, or will Jenks move to the centre with Lapham making a rare appearance - of course Sean O' could be fit meaning it will be a straight swap.

I reckon:

Code:
                       Heaton

        Collins         Ifil       O'Hanlon

Jenks                                             Smith

       Pook           Migz         Whalley

                  Roberts
                            Fallon

Tommo's lineup actually looks sort of ok.  I'd take Migz or Whalley out for Heath though, as they are both similar, and having a bad season.

That's assuming King does the logical thing and replaces like-for-like, something he never does, instead opting to fuck about with the formation and confuse the players further.

I'd expect a 4-4-2 tomorrow. I read yesterday that Jenks is struggling to be fit again and Seano didn't play in the reserve game in the week, so I'd be surprised if either were available.

On that basis, I'd expect King to go for a lineup along these lines.

Code:

           Heaton

Smith   Ifil   Collins   Nicholas

Shakes  Pook   Migs      Whalley

        Fallon Cureton

whereas I'd go for

Code:

             Heaton

Collins   Ifil   Comyn-Platt   Smith

Shakes    Pook   Miglioranzi   Nicolau

          Fallon Roberts

I'm hungover and can't be bothered to do the rest of the team, although it pretty much picks itself.  But striker-wise is a problem.  Cureton and Roberts both scored for the reserves, Thorpe supposedly did okay at Bournemouth(?) and Fallon must start.  I'd like to see Thorpedo given another chance alongside Fallon, with Cureton coming on early second half if he's not performing.

I would also put Roberts on the right, just because he has to be on the pitch but there's too much competition up front.  I'm wondering whether King will go back to a 4-3-3 with the players he has - particularly when we played it when we had the donkeys of Sabin and Invincibile up front!

Thorpe was equally shit at BM as any other game- that's to say he stands around and doesn't do alot

Our problem is we've a lot of players, who are at the moment a much of a muchness, so we can field a decent reserve side, but the first XI is no better.

Only Fallon on current form is indespensible.

I'd drop Migz.  We can't afford him dwelling on the ball as per the last few games and getting dipossessed.  It puts pressure on our crumbly defence.

I love Migz, but he is a bit rubbish at the moment.

I dont think he has been that rubbish at all....

Plus, he looks easily our fittest player and will put the running in which is what the midfield need to do.

Seen as Gurns is suspended and O'Hanlon is injured he should be captain!
