If you are a lover of lower league football like myself, you will take interest in the FA Cup qualifying round draw. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/28161601Stand out game in the first extra prelimiary round: SEAHAM RED STAR v LIVERSEDGE, the lucky winner getting a day out at CLITHEROE. Supermarine could play Gillingham Town away in the 1st Qualifying Round - obviously extra police needed. Anyway for those interested in the amateur game see link.

I would expect that's Gillingham in Dorset, a fine Wessex settlement; and nothing to do with our Pikey chums. I wonder if the same person who put the cunt in Scunthorpe, put the Clit in Clitheroe

Brilliant Should have realised it was the wrong Gillingham. Yeah, the Kentish place never graduated to the status of Town, getting stuck at Transit Camp.

If Supermarine end up playing Gillingham (said with a hard G) I may well go. Used to play for them for a bit and still have some friends who are in the first team. Club Bar's cheap too.

Clitheroe's a good place to go - some good walking and a surprising amount of highly rated eateries in the area.

Yes I remember the Clitheroe Kid ( answering the question in the thread not about Clitheroe) I thought Jimmy Clitheroe was shit....a bit like a proto Krankie.

Gillingham in Dorset is pronounced with a hard G, unlike the peg selling, tarmac laying caravan site in Kent.

True story, I was working behind the bar one day when a delivery driver came in and asked if I knew where some industrial estate was - I said no and asked to see the address, turns out it was Gillingham, Kent. He'd put it in his sat-nav that morning in London, obvously chosen the wrong option, and not thought it odd he was heading West. I felt sorry for him, but also, what a moron.
