I was looking at the toshiba ones and they looked nothing like the sony, its a bit flash but also quicker etc.

i can't remember where i read it but i'm sure there was a problem with them overheating - it might have been an early batch or something

I know there was a huge batch of Dell batteries which blew up and set the things on fire. Never heard it with Vaios though, I suppose it's down to who makes the battery.

£600 is alright for a decent laptop. I suppose you can claim back £90 off the taxman anyway BB
