Did they have 3 players playing who we were supposed to be interested in signing?

Bullets dodged there.

Danny Johnson who came off the bench and Priestly Farquason (sp) who I thought looked good.

What about that big fella at the back - Daniels? Young very nearly picked his pocket in the 2nd half.

Farquharson from Newport who looked good. DJ was heavily rumoured to have nearly signed but went to Walsall with wages and Flynn loves Daniels who I think was rumoured too.
They’re all good players. Flynn and Hatswell so far have shown they can pick a player for sure

Said at the time Danny Johnson had all but agreed to sign for us then Walsall came in with more money (and we tried Harry Smith)

7 games in and seems like it worked out well enough for us.
After January it might look a bit different…

Close enough that DJ was going to be announced at the kit launch

Heard or read somewhere that we may have a bit of leverage with Dongs as they still owe us for the Twine sell on.

God, those Walsall fans are a salty bunch. Even started a thread about Flynn.

Let it go, guys. You lost a game. We’ll lose one some time! Probably. Maybe.

They should be thankful they got a team nestled between all those big clubs.

All their comments about we think we are a big club slumming it in league 2. Think they'll find most town fans consider ourselves a league 1 club at best. Upper league 1 of course  Wink
Seem a bit of a sour bunch.

Football fans peculiarly obsessing about a previous manager, you'd never find that happening at Swindon would you  Cheesy Roll Eyes

This is the one I was thinking of.

That’s the fella.
Obviously only ever watch the ones he does when Walsall are playing us but also found his thoughts pre & post match to be extremely fair, non biased & accurate tbh.

There are paid media people who do a much worse job than he does.

A slight negative, I just caught up on the post match interviews and heard Flynn digging out who I’m assuming is the Adver guy for the Austin article.

I was a bit confused at that, not sure that article warranted that reaction but each to their own I guess and he probably felt a need to defend his players.

The Adver articles today are quite positive about comparing unbeaten starts to other seasons and why we have kept 3 clean sheets in 4.

Maybe if the headline had been 'is Charlie doing too much for the team and not himself?, the context to the article would be better but that doesn't make a good headline.

I think Saturday highlighted how much Charlie does for the team to occupy defenders who mark him closely and take the physical stuff.

Jake Young found that same attention harder on Saturday but we have 3 strikers giving good performances in different ways so bodes well.
