I thought he was a self confessed Liverpool fan ? I really think a lower prem side bolton, fulham may take a punt on him in the summer we have to start a bidding war and not just jump at the first big offer.
I think Newcastle are sniffing because Calderwood was there tonight!

And Hartlepool, if they hadn't stolen 2 points from us even moreso.
We shot ourselves in the foot in both games!!!

He will go to Leicester, you heard it first here, unfortunately.

Watching his old management team play the team he loves Cox would destroy the Championship with Newcastle

It will be interesting to see what our board do if we get a 1mil plus for Cox do you think they will give it all to Wilson for squad re-building?

Players come and go. We replaced Parkin (eventually) we'll replace Cox.

Think Wilson has got it right, to set up and attack...we're never going to win games 1-0, so we might as well play to our strengths as they now are, and attack teams, and hope to score one more than them.
Cox has elevated himself into very elite company with 3 away hat tricks in one season...not checked yet, but I'd guess only Harry Morris might have achieved such a feat.

Whether we get £1 million (which I doubt) or not...it will demonstrate that spending money can generate a better return than picking players up on free transfers. The board might be tempted to spend again. You never know. I used to hate it when we sold our best players, but now I accept it as an essential part of our business model. Simon Cox may not be around to see us in to the Championship one day, but the cash his transfer will generate will help to get us there.

Does that include our 1-0 win at the weekend? Wouldn't rely on BBC stats

I'd hope for his own sake he goes to a top-end Championship side where he can claim a regular 1st team slot and build a career rather than rotting in Prem reserves.
