I don't think there is a bad Italian in Swindon... this is the thread you're after, I think.

La Carbonara!

This, and the one in Old Town opposite Dominoes can't remember the name of it.

We're quite lucky when it comes to decent Italians in Swindon, however I would say Bottelino's is below average. Had two meals in there and both pretty naff.

I think La Carbonara is back to my number 1. I've now eaten at Da Vinci's 4 times, and the first time, when I started that thread, was amazing, but the other times it's been fairly average.

La Carbonara, when I went again recently was great, however, I avoided their Risotto Scoglio, as it was vile last time I went and don't plan on trying it again.

I like Bottelinos, for a chain place it's not too bad. The pizzas are especially great.

I ate in Fabio's recently and it was absolutely superb. Like Barry, I'm very much a seafood man when it comes to Italian food (I'm sure we've had this discussion before), I had their seafood risotto and it was one of the best I've ever had. The service was brilliant too.
