Seems like a million years ago now but would have been amusing had we have signed him as rumours suggested pre-season.

Think it was all cat's piss come the end of the day but it would have been something else.  Not quite sure what that else would have turned out to be but he'd shift a few shirts.

Where did he go in the end. Would've been nice to have a big name to replace that cunt Mooney!

Come on chaps, pre-season after the Mooney saga was closing there was a big name rumour signing on a freebie from Spurs.  Think King even mentioned him by name fell flat after the Bradley Orr balls up though.

Sorry Dazzza but I don't remember this either!!  It would have been a quality signing though.  Poyet controlling the middle of the park.

Look Johno remembers...

Although he did decide to change the story around to his liking.

Calls a spade a JCB that lad.

from what kingy said it sounds like we were due to get him as part of the loan deal - why cant we suddenly now??

This failure to capture Bradley Orr and Bristol City getting him instead is also irritating.

I can see us starting the season with no extra players (and possibly no parkin if he follows devlin) as i dont think we are likely to sign anyone else.

I am becoming increasingly pessimistic about the up and coming season and am not looking forward to it with anticipation as mid table mediocrity i think it will be this year.

Be prepared for all eventualities - take a bag!
