But he made too many careless mistakes at the back. Which meant Malpas and Wilson were reluctant to pick him as a centre back. As a midfielder he was OK. Its a shame, because I thought he was a player of decent character, and a hard worker. I'd love to see Greer & morrison in the middle with amankwaah & aljofree on the sides. With a pre-season lescinel might turn out to be a bit of alright, wasn't really given the chance to play in his favoured LB position last season. I think this season,for a change,we might well be ok at the back - it'l up top where we might struggle (obvious i know). If it hadn't been for his injury record we'd have offered him at least a 1 year contract and he'd most likely still be here. Let's not forget we offered him a short term contract anyway, so Wilson must rate him and think the same - but for the injuries he's worth holding on to.
If he stays free of injury, the team that signs him will be getting a good player on the cheap. |
