I believe he's now back in the UK, having recovered from his devastating illness once he was no longer likely to be called into court, but I'm going on what I have heard rather than what I know

I believe he is back in the country as he was acting as an 'advisor' to Kenny MacAskill regarding the Lockerbie bomber release.

I believe he is back in the country as he was acting as an 'advisor' to Stephen Gately when he was choosing his holiday.
