I want Byrne and Williams to be our managerial dream team. Certainly more than Dowie, Boothroyd or Holloway. I must admit i was more worried about Byrne potentially leaving with Malpas' appointment, than i was with Malpas's appointment.

I know that sounds strange, but i felt Byrne and Williams had done enough of a job prior to Malpas coming in that i thought they'd get the job. Apart from those first few teething troubles, football deteriorated once they stopped managing. The team looked better than under Sturrock, but then i never liked Sturrock's brand of football, or the man himself in fact.

Look at us talking about the likes of Boothroyd, Dowie and Holloway. Some say "I don't want him etc etc" but let's be fucking honest. You would take any one of those 3 wouldn't you?

Agreed. It has to be said that there are some decent coaches currently unemployed at the moment.

Why didnt you like Sturrock as a man?..seems a nice guy to me,and Plymouth won at Coventry today,Plymouth in the top ten...i wish he was still here,as for Byrne hes got no chance of getting it....a good back up for a proper mnager maybe,Dowie is on mega bucks on gardening leave, would need a bundle to get him,its odds on Holloway and i would welcome that.

You can wave goodbye to Byrne and Williams if Holloway comes in.

Today was like a dress rehearsal for a Boothroyd team.  If it wins games, then so be it.

Of course, i'm just being a cock. I'm easily pleased to be fair, i'd be exstatic if either came in, both for temporarily lifting the fans and for what they could do. I just worry that the expectation levels go through the roof when you have a name, and therefore can unrest the miserable amongst our fan base with relative ease.

Why didnt you like Sturrock as a man?

Didn't really mean it in that way, just found him to be someone i wouldn't enjoy speaking too or become friends with - far to fucking grumpy. He could well have been a truly lovable chap, but he never said or did anything that i found endearing or warming.

I know, but if that style wins then it won't bother me having to watch it.  If it loses games then it's painful viewing at times.
