Well this guy was right about Maurice's sacking so....... could it be?

Great appointment if it were to happen.

I thought Boothroyd has gone to Oz to learn how to skin kangaroos?

If it were to happen, excellent.

Unfortunately i dont think it will

Just don't like his style of play. Not convinced he'd do a great job either despite him getting Watford promoted.

It's bollocks anyway he's down in Australia as you said.

I used to like Adi Boothroyd but he seems to have been a bit of a one season wonder.

Watford has gone backwards at a pretty fast pace since the Premiership

True but having to sell players etc does not help.

These comments are very interesting that i've just come accross from Boothroyd;

"To prove I am any good as a manager there must be consolidation and progression over a long period of time and that is the aim."

Boothroyd has swiftly earned a reputation for getting the best out of players who might otherwise be categorised as moderate or holding limited potential and he explains: "Sometimes it is the personality and the attitude of an individual that counts above his natural ability. I hold great store by getting into the psyche of players and knowing what makes them tick and their weak spots.

"Their mental fortitude and willingness to get into the trenches can pay bigger dividends for a club than someone who can make a football dance and sing. It's the type of person rather than the type of player which counts for me, always bearing in mind that it is the team, rather than the individual, which counts."

It's my understanding that Fitton is looking for 2 things from any potential candidate.

1) He must be a motivator.

2) Fitton must be able to work with him.(Trust is a 2 way thing)

This sounds feasible to me. I thought I heard them say on Talk Sport earlier that he was at the game today. I would like Holloway but I think Boothroyd would also be an excellent appointment.
