Apparently Andrew Fitton & DW met up with Liverpool officials including Benitez about Liverpool sending some more of their talent our way including Jay Spearing.

This could mean the departure of Jamie Stephens (Youth Goalkeeper) who Liverpool have shown a keen interest in and some of our future talent if a deal is struck between the 2 clubs

You've just gotta love the way that they are looking to strike up relationships with other clubs.

If Jay Spearing came here that would be immense!

I suppose a lot depends on what league we are in next season.

Agreed. The mini link with Celtic has been promising (apart from Hutchison granted), shame we couldn't have got Caddis, think he would have been a revelation here.

Ask not what Swindon can do for Liverpool... but what Liverpool can do for Swindon.

I fail to see why what division we are in next seasons effects whether Spearing comes on loan till the end of the season?

Its good we are forming links with top clubs........and Liverpool aswell!

I wasn't specifically saying about Jay Spearing, just about the deal itself. Obviously depending what league we're in, the quality of player will fluctuate. For example, a reserve team/border line first teamer would gain more experience if we were in the CCC, while a steady reserve player is more for league 1.
