Kermit wouldn't sign for me kept having his work permit refused....tried 3 times in 2 years to sign him so I gave up.
He got a work permit first time for me, he was a freebie as well. |

Bloody hell that took me 14 minutes to start the game with every player from every league loaded!
I hope its worth it 244,468 players to pick from! and an uncompressed save game at the start of 731mb!
Lets see if I can find any gems on frees for a cheapskate Swindon.
And BR the whole Work Permit thing is so fickle in FM2009, I have had 17 year olds from Brazil get a work permit and 24 year old internationals with 35 games at international level for Bahrain get turned down.....it seems fickle and a lot of luck despite the actual work permit rules that exist.

Barry Scott's wonder tactic got me all the way to the playoff final, where I lost 4-2 to Millwall, after leading 2-1 at halftime. I only lost out on automatic promotion on the last game of the season as well, thanks to a 2 nil reverse at Gillingham.....bastards.
Came third in the manager of the year awards, not much consolation, I was fuming and stomping around the house looking to break something - as a result I got branded a 'saddo' by the wife.

I'm at the end of january 2013, sitting 7th in the championship (predicted 24th), I've spent about £20 on players so far, loads of freebies who've come good. Only problem is the bigger clubs are trying to steal them. My gk, a northern Irish chap called tuffey keeps getting bid on, brian howard is a target for leicester, lee holmes too, and pedro, the 24-year old AMR I plucked from Barca B obscurity in the summer has moved on to QPR for £1.5m plus a 20% sell-on clause!
Oh and stay away from a yank called Cherundolo, right back playing in germany, he's shit.

i am in my 2nd season with Barcelona with a 4-4-2 diamond formation. Bought a guy called Kerrison from Cortiba in brazil, what a prospect along with Bojan as well. for the following season i have purchased Guiza, Douglas costa and Flipe Melo.

Back to my town team i was given 12mil to avoid relegation, so many premiership players are going on a free, due to expired contracts, i negotiate contracts with most of them but then a more esta blished team pips me.
I have managed to pick up the following players on free though
Andy Carol from Newcastle
Braulio from Zaragoza (shocked he came)
Brian Howard
Charlie Mulgrew
Jo (again shocked, he wanted 40k a month i offered him 21k and he's accepted, just waiting for a work permit)
Now im spending the 12mil and revamping 1/2 the squad.
